Most commercial performance problems are not execution problems.
They are design problems.

I write and advise on how B2B organisations build commercial systems that can scale, adapt, and hold under pressure. The work is anchored in my forthcoming book, The Architecture of Commercial Performance.

The book

The Architecture of Commercial Performance argues that commercial performance is shaped by the design of the system itself – how intent, boundaries, shared meaning, decision authority, and interfaces are built and held over time. Methodology, technology, and leadership effort matter, but they cannot resolve what the system was not designed to hold.

Written for senior commercial leaders, business executives, boards, investors, and transformation leaders, the book gives language to a problem many organisations feel but rarely name.

Advisory

I work with B2B leaders on commercial transformation, sales, leadership alignment, and operating model design.

The work starts from a simple premise: before leaders add another methodology, process, tool, or enablement initiative, they need to understand what the current commercial system is designed to produce.

Engagements include commercial diagnostics, leadership workshops, transformation framing, and ongoing advisory as teams move from fragmented effort towards more coherent commercial performance.

Writing

Five series and more than thirty essays, developed publicly across 2024 to 2026 – the thinking that became The Architecture of Commercial Performance, tested and refined in the open. Standalone reflections, book-related notes, and longer-form essays will be added as the book moves toward publication.

About

I have spent nearly three decades inside commercial organisations – as a leader, a builder, and the person consistently asking why capable teams keep solving the same problems. The Architecture of Commercial Performance is the book I could not find.
